A.D.S Construction Personnel Ltd in Hitchin is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take commercial ownership of live schemes and lead larger projects across Hertfordshire and London.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a main contractor.
• A construction-related qualification such as an HNC, HND, degree or equivalent.
• Confident running two schemes at the same time or leading the commercial delivery of one larger project.
• Able to work independently, make commercial decisions and take full ownership of projects.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction contracts.

Responsibilities

• Take full commercial responsibility for two live schemes or one larger project.
• Manage procurement, subcontractor packages and tender enquiries.
• Prepare valuations, variations, cost reports and cash-flow forecasts.
• Monitor project costs, programme implications and commercial risk.
• Manage subcontractor accounts through to final accounts.
• Work closely with project teams to keep schemes commercially controlled and on budget.
• Provide clear commercial updates to senior management.
