Job summary

EKFB is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the route-wide Commercial team based in Milton Keynes. You will work largely independently, with scope to lead a small commercial team, and will be responsible for variation accounts, interim and final valuations, and subcontract final accounts.

You will monitor cost against targets and programme, provide contractual advice to management, support change control processes for EOTs, delays and performance adjustments, and ensure timely notices

Qualifications

• Qualified with a Quantity Surveying degree or similar.
• Enrolled in, or seeking membership of, a professional institution (CICES, RICS or similar).
• Proven Quantity Surveyor experience delivering commercial outcomes on large projects.
• Strong listening, learning and mentoring ability with team members.
• Full Driving Licence with access to your own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Carry out tasks independently and lead a small commercial team as needed.
• Prepare and agree variation accounts for main contracts and sub-contracts.
• Monitor cost against targets and contract progress against programmes.
• Contribute to change control procedures for EOT, delays and performance adjustments.
• Prepare interim and final valuations and issue subcontract payments and final accounts.
• Provide contractual advice to management and ensure timely notices.
