Job summary

Galliford Try seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial aspects on major projects in Oxfordshire. You will run subcontract documentation, negotiate terms, and oversee change control in line with contract requirements.

Strong IT skills, cost reporting and good stakeholder management are essential for success. Ideal candidates will have NEC3/4 Option C experience and a professional qualification toward MCIOB or MRICS, with Civil Engineering exposure.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract (NEC3/4 Option C).
• Experience in Civil Engineering environments (highways/rail/water).
• Proven time and cost management skills.
• Experience with cost control and reporting systems.
• Professional qualification toward full membership (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial administration, reporting and performance on projects.
• Produce subcontract documentation and negotiate terms, prices and programme.
• Oversee change management and Compensation Event Quotations.
• Prepare monthly applications to the client.
• Maintain site records and cost plans with detailed CVRs.
• Support estimating and bid teams with contractual expertise.
