Job summary

RMErecruit partners with a rapidly growing specialist electrical contractor to appoint a hands-on Senior Quantity Surveyor (Electrical Bias) for the North Coast region in Northern Ireland. The role balances front-end estimating with end-to-end post-contract commercial management on high-profile infrastructure schemes.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management with hands-on experience in electrical/power contracting.
• Experience managing live project finances, valuations, final accounts and CVRs.
• Strong cost forecasting, budget setup and procurement of electrical subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Live commercial delivery: manage monthly payments, variations, interim valuations and final accounts.
• Pre-construction & estimating: assist with tender submissions and cost estimation for electrical scopes.
• Cost control & CVRs: conduct CVR reviews and forecast to complete budgets.
• Supply chain management: manage electrical subcontractors and suppliers, subcontracts and variation accounts.
• Commercial systems & reporting: maintain data for KPI reporting and cash flow visibility.
• Team guidance: oversee day-to-day commercial administration and mentor junior staff.
