Job summary

ONNEC, a leading technology partner in London, seeks a Quantity Surveyor to support commercial activities on hyperscale data centre projects. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, you will manage costs, protect margins, and ensure contractual obligations are met across project lifecycles.

The role requires strong commercial acumen, experience with JCT/NEC contracts, and excellent negotiation with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven Quantity Surveying experience in project delivery or construction.
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge (JCT/NEC).
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercially aware with ability to identify risks and opportunities.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial support to project teams to keep projects commercially sound and financially successful.
• Monitor costs and performance against budget, identify risks and opportunities.
• Manage variations and changes, prepare quotations and supporting documentation.
• Support monthly valuations, cost reporting, forecasting and reconciliations.
• Administer contracts and subcontracts per contract terms and company procedures.
• Review contract terms and manage claims and variations to protect margins.
• Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, consultants and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate across Commercial, Finance, Legal, Design & Engineering and Operations.
• Help develop and apply commercial processes and best practices.
• Assist with supplier negotiations and other commercial activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and special projects.
