Job summary

Falcon Green is partnering with a leading international principal contractor to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding commercial team for a major data centre development in Northumberland. You will manage the commercial aspects of the project, liaising with project delivery, engineering and supply chain teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role
• Strong understanding of subcontract procurement, cost control, change management, and commercial reporting
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with clients, contractors, consultants, design teams, and supply chain partners
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams within a fast-paced project environment

Responsibilities

• Managing all commercial and quantity surveying activities across the data centre project.
• Preparing weekly, monthly, and quarterly commercial reports.
• Managing project budgets, cost forecasting, valuations, and commercial controls.
• Leading cost management activities across complex M&E and construction packages.
• Preparing tenders, managing procurement processes, and negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Managing subcontractor accounts, variations, change control, and final account agreements.
• Working closely with project management, engineering, design, commissioning, and technical teams.
• Supporting procurement and delivery of critical infrastructure packages, including electrical and mechanical systems.
• Attending project, commercial, and client meetings.
• Ensuring commercial performance aligns with programme, quality, and operational requirements.
