Job summary

Calibre Search in Southampton is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor/Senior Associate to strengthen its cost management team on a varied portfolio of projects. You will deliver cost management services, engage with clients, contractors and project teams, and support junior members.

Experience in consultancy, strong pre-contract knowledge, and a willingness to travel to regional sites are key; MRICS/APC support and clear progression are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a consultancy environment.
• Strong pre-contract experience; post-contract desirable.
• Good knowledge of cost management and commercial processes.

Responsibilities

• Providing cost management across the project lifecycle.
• Cost planning, estimating and budgeting.
• Measurement and preparation of tender documentation.
• Procurement and tender analysis.
• Contract administration and commercial management.
• Interim valuations and cost reporting.
• Managing variations and final accounts.
• Providing commercial advice to clients and project teams.
• Attending site and client meetings.
• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
