Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a permanent role in the Maidstone area, Kent. You will lead the commercial delivery from tender to final account on multiple projects for a UK top-20 main contractor.

Responsibilities include risk management, cost planning, subcontract procurement, and detailed reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong construction-sector experience, Design & Build exposure, and professional membership advantageous.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in the building sector for a main contractor.
• Experience with Design & Build projects.
• Knowledge of standard forms of contract (JCT/NEC).
• Experience with subcontract procurement and package management.
• MRICS/MCIOB or equivalent professional qualification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial aspects from tender through to final account.
• Produce and issue commercial/contractual notices.
• Manage subcontract work packages.
• Carry out interim assessments and manage changes.
• Lead commercial risk management and reporting.
• Produce and maintain detailed cost plans and CVRs.
• Track and forecast expenditure and liabilities.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and procurement.
• Coordinate with project and operations teams.
• Develop junior Quantity Surveyors.
