Job summary

Black Point Recruitment LTD is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Lead to oversee financial and commercial management on multiple projects in the UK construction and groundworks sector. You will drive profitability, cost control, and contract compliance across NEC/JCT frameworks, reporting to senior leadership.

This is a senior, long-term role offering a salary of £95,000–£110,000 with a bonus scheme, and a clear path for progression in a growing business.

Qualifications

• Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager with NEC/JCT experience.
• Proven ability to manage project finances, CVRs and variations.
• Strong client and stakeholder relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the commercial lead across multiple projects.
• Manage project profitability, cost control and financial performance.
• Oversee AFPs, valuations and variations; maintain entitlements trackers.
• Produce monthly CVR reports and manage retentions/payments.
• Lead subcontractor procurement and contract management.
• Ensure NEC/JCT contract administration; attend client meetings and site visits.
• Support and develop junior commercial staff; report to senior leadership.
