Job summary

Mabey-Hire seeks a Quantity Surveyor for our Garswood depot to support the growing Commercial team. This role offers a development path within the company and exposure to diverse civil engineering projects.

You will handle cost reporting, forecasting and measurement, while coordinating with design and construction teams to ensure accurate commercial reporting and robust contract compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in commercial management, project management or quantity surveying.
• CSCS cardholder.
• 3–5 years' experience in construction/civil engineering.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Health & Safety standards.
• Prepare cost reporting, forecasting and measurement of work sections.
• Assist Bid Manager with pre-contract process, bid/no-bid, tender pricing and subcontract terms.
• Manage full subcontract cycle.
• Prepare monthly CVRs and cost forecasts with progress updates.
• Advise on contractual implications and action plans.
• Identify commercial opportunities and margin improvements.
• Manage disputes or claims.
