Job summary

Mabey Hire is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for our Garswood depot to support the growing Commercial team. This role offers exposure to the full commercial lifecycle, including cost reporting, forecasting and subcontract management, within a leading temporary works specialist.

We value candidates with CSCS certification and a degree in Quantity Surveying or related field, plus 3-5 years of civil/construction experience, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Commercial management or quantity surveying degree.
• CSCS cardholder.
• 3-5 years’ experience in construction/civil engineering.
• Experience in construction/civil engineering projects with client interface.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the highest Health & Safety standards are maintained.
• Manage cost reporting, forecasting and measurement of work sections.
• Assist Bid Manager with Pre-Contract Commercial process, tender pricing and subcontract terms.
• Lead monthly project reviews and provide CVRs and cost reporting updates.
• Identify commercial opportunities and manage for margin enhancement.
