Job summary

VolkerStevin, part of VolkerWessels UK, is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial activities on a major site in Glasgow. The role involves managing surveyors, reviewing contracts, and delivering timely valuations and reports.

You will work from our Glasgow City Centre office with occasional site travel to Helensburgh and other sites as required, supporting a long-term framework with a strong commercial focus.

Qualifications

• Five-plus years in Senior Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Experience managing cost and commercial risk on large civil projects.
• Experience with subcontracts and tender input.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial activities on allocated site and manage surveyors.
• Review contract conditions, assess risk, and advise on scope.
• Prepare and analyse valuations, cost-to-date reports and monthly commercial reports.
• Ensure subcontract payments are accurate and timely.
• Support bid and commercial planning, reporting to Commercial Manager.
