Job summary

McM Recruitment Solutions is recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor based in Leeds. The role covers commercial management from tender through to final account across major projects in Yorkshire and the North.

You will handle NEC contract administration, cost reporting, subcontract procurement, and risk/opportunity management while collaborating with delivery teams to maximise profitability and maintain strong client relations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, infrastructure or utilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercially astute with strong financial and contractual awareness.
• Degree qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial performance of multiple projects.
• Administering NEC contracts and ensuring contractual compliance.
• Preparing cost reports, forecasts and valuations.
• Managing subcontract procurement and subcontract accounts.
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
• Supporting project delivery teams to maximise profitability.
• Negotiating and agreeing variations and final accounts.
• Producing accurate financial reporting for senior management.
• Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders.
