Job summary

McM Recruitment Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a leading regional civil engineering and infrastructure contractor in the North East for an experienced Quantity Surveyor. You will be responsible for commercial control from procurement to final account across highways, utilities, and infrastructure projects.

The role offers exposure to major regional projects, a strong order book, and clear progression paths within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering, infrastructure or utilities.
• Strong understanding of NEC forms of contract.
• Experience managing projects from inception through to completion.
• Excellent commercial awareness and cost management capability.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial performance of projects across the lifecycle.
• Administering NEC contracts and subcontract accounts.
• Preparing valuations, forecasts and cost reports.
• Managing subcontract procurement and accounts.
• Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
• Producing financial reporting for senior management.
• Supporting operations to maximise project performance.
• Negotiating and finalising accounts with clients and subcontractors.
• Building relationships with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders.
