Following the award of several new projects, a leading engineering organisation is looking to add Senior Quantity Surveyors with experience in civil engineering projects to their Cardiff-based team. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial delivery of a wide spectrum of civil engineering projects in the nuclear, highways, rail, energy, and defence markets.

Responsibilities:

• Administer NEC suite of contracts
• Provide pre and post-contract quantity surveying services
• Manage the commercial aspects of infrastructure projects in sectors including highways, rail, energy, utilities, MOD, and aviation
• Prepare and review procurement documents required for ITT (Invitation to Tender)
• Mentor and coach junior staff members
• Develop and maintain client relationships
• Innovate sustainable and cost-effective solutions for clients

Requirements:

• Experience in quantity surveying with a relevant degree or equivalent qualification
• Experience working on civil engineering projects
• Working towards or holding a recognised chartership
• Proficiency in NEC contract administration
• Good understanding of construction techniques and technology
• Experience managing medium-sized projects with minimal supervision
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Proven ability to work effectively within multiple teams and with various stakeholders
