As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will contribute to projects that significantly impact our environment and communities.

  2. Working closely with the delivery team to identify, implement, and monitor efficiency plans throughout the project lifecycle.
  3. Ensuring all project team members understand the contractual arrangements to meet client requirements.
  4. Actively challenging team members to drive best value for clients in project delivery.
  5. Supporting our clients to maximise opportunities and mitigate risks to help deliver successful outcomes.
  6. Influencing and advising on the contractual and commercial aspects of schemes to ensure robust project control.
  7. Creating, fostering, and maintaining strong client relationships, understanding client needs, and ensuring clear communication at all times.
  8. Reporting to the deadlines agreed within the commercial calendar and in accordance with the respective work breakdown structure / cost breakdown structure.
  9. Ensuring subcontracts are properly prepared, reflect the agreed scope, and are managed in accordance with contract requirements, including compliance with responses to communications, payments, early warnings, compensation events, and programme submissions. All contract files should be maintained and kept up to date.
  10. Monitoring actual costs against baseline, value of work done, solution cost progress, affordability challenges, and final outturn calculations, reporting weekly or as agreed with the Commercial Manager while observing the project's governance.
What you'll need:
Essential:
  • Driving Licence
  • Relevant CSCS Card
  • Experience in managing costs through a complex Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS).
  • Experience in NEC forms of contract.
  • Experience and strong understanding of water-water process.
  • Proven record in delivering large projects to program, budget, and quality requirements, by managing competing tensions.

  • Degree level (or equivalent) in an engineering/management/cost discipline.
  • Chartered surveyor or working towards chartered status.
