United Living Energy is a UK gas and energy engineering specialist offering design, build, and maintenance on critical national infrastructure for the UK gas asset owners.

You will be the commercial lead on projects, responsible for their commercial success while adhering to administrative procedures. Promote a collaborative environment with clients and manage subcontractor/supply chain accounts.

Contract Management Responsibilities:

• Negotiate terms and conditions of subcontracts.
• Manage and process payments for specialist subcontracts and key suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms, conditions, rights, and obligations.
• Report monthly on project Pain/Gain (if applicable).
• Coordinate changes or amendments per NEC 3/4 Option A & C contracts.
• Assess the impact of changes and liability exposure.

Contract Administration:

• Monitor and track contract obligations.
• Conduct site visits to administer contracts aligned with project progress.
• Monitor and report on contract performance regarding program, cost, and issues.
• Perform contract closeout, ensuring all terms are met and payments verified.
• Handle forms, reports, or clearances and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with clients and subcontractors.

Budget Management:

• Evaluate budget changes with the project team.
• Report on cost variances.
• Compile Defined Cost Records for audits.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Create monthly Cost Value Reconciliation reports.
• Generate Earned Value Analysis reports.
• Review weekly cost monitors, comparing forecasted and actual costs.
• Prepare monthly valuations.
• Maintain change registers.
• Contribute to the commercial report.

Qualifications

• Highly computer literate, including Microsoft Office, and confident managing large data sets.
• This is a full-time, permanent role, 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday, based in Widnes.
