Job description

We're looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Transportation team in Liverpool/Northwest. You'll be working on a newly secured project to replace highways bridges in the region for a key client, while also supporting legacy schemes within the business. Flexibility in hours and travel is essential, and a driving licence is required.

Join Kier Transportation and support the movement of people, goods, and equipment, making a difference in transportation links via land, sea, or air.

Location: Liverpool / Northwest - site based with some remote work

Contract: Permanent Full-time

Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 + £6,700 annual car allowance + private healthcare + benefits

Responsibilities:

Manage the commercial aspects of project packages to maximize gross margin through estimates, contracts, and subcontract management.

Your daily tasks include:

• Providing commercial expertise, including valuations, claims, budget monitoring, and performance data
• Assessing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks according to Kier policies
• Maximizing cash flow through measurement, valuation, invoicing, and payment processes
• Promoting Kier Group's values to meet or exceed customer expectations

Requirements:

• Experience in Highways, Construction, or Infrastructure roles
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
