A leading company in the built environment is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor in Manchester. Qualifications

Recruitment Consultant | Connecting Skilled Professionals with Their Optimal Roles in the Built Environment

We're seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management, client relations, and project delivery from inception to completion.

• Oversee cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting for commercial and façade projects.
• Prepare tender documents, bills of quantities, and cost value reconciliations (CVRs).
• Manage procurement processes and liaise with clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Monitor and adjust budgets in response to design changes and site conditions.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
• Lead and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Track and report on project progress, identifying and addressing issues proactively.
• Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
• Implement and maintain effective change control procedures.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to optimize project outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and quality.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum HNC in Building Studies; BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Construct software is a plus.
• Strong understanding of JCT & NEC contracts.
• Experience with aluminium/curtain walling and cladding systems is desirable.
• Excellent numeracy and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Full clean driving licence.
