Job summary

VolkerWessels UK, via VolkerFitzpatrick, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Aviation team on the Stansted Airport project. The role focuses on commercial management, costs, budgets and contracts to ensure delivery on time and within budget.

You will work with a project team to monitor financial performance, produce reports, and support procurement and contract administration in a high-profile infrastructure environment.

Qualifications

• Accredited by RICS, CIOB or ICES.
• Experience as a Project QS with a Tier 1 Main Contractor.
• Knowledge of construction management and sustainable construction techniques.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Proactive initiative.

Responsibilities

• Manage project costs, budgets and contracts from a commercial perspective.
• Support the team to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Assist in cost reporting, forecasting and procurement activities.

We are currently looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Aviation team working on our project at Stansted Airport.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor is an important part of the project team and helps make sure projects are managed well from a commercial point of view. This role involves managing costs, budgets, and contracts, supporting the team to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

About you

• An accredited course by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) or the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES).
• Adequate experience as a Project QS from a Tier 1 Main Contractor.
• Knowledge and understanding of construction management, construction and sustainable construction techniques.
• Able to work under pressure
• Effective use of Initiative
