Job summary

Navartis Ltd in Sheffield is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a busy team delivering railway and civils infrastructure projects on a reactive framework, with hybrid working.

You will prepare formal reports for senior management, manage payments and change control on NEC4 contracts, and help with tendering and risk assessment across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in contracting environments.
• Experience in Civil Engineering / Rail sector.
• RCIS/CES membership or equivalent acceptable.

Summary

A successful engineering contractor specialising in railway and civil engineering Is looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work alongside a team of experienced Quantity Surveyors and get involved in a range of projects from inception to completion within the Railway & Civils Infrastructure sector on a portfolio of works in multiple projects on a reactive framework.

Based in Sheffield with Hybrid Working.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will manage and produce formal reports for Senior Management, maintain and develop client relationships ensuring the timely submissions of applications for payments, operating the change process on an NEC4 contract and identify and manage opportunities and risk.

Responsibilities will also include the settling of final Accounts with Clients and sub-contractors in line with agreed terms and conditions. There will also be a requirement to assist with tenders, both in terms of formulating and review.

Senior Quantity Surveyor Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

• A minimum of 5 years' experience working within a contracting environment
• Experience within the Civil Engineering/ Rail sector
• HND/ HNC Level 4/ Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying
• RCIS/ CES membership

• Ability to pass on knowledge, guide and support team members with their L&D
• Strong IT Skill especially with Microsoft packages
• Strong Numeracy skills
• Ability to work methodically, using own initiative and unsupervised
• High accuracy and attention to detail
• A calm yet inquisitive nature, who is comfortable with questioning and challenging issues when needed.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence to engage with stakeholders and other team members on all levels
• Prioritises well and works effectively to deadlines
• Is customer focused and can reach resolutions with issues

Salary / Benefits:

Salary of Between £55,000 - £67,000 (DOE) plus
