Caval in Leeds is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a civil and rail background to lead commercial activities on civil engineering and rail contracts in the Yorkshire region. The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying and at least five years' experience on civils/rail projects; you will support procurement, cash flow management, and tender evaluations within a busy commercial team.

Responsabilités

• Procurement
• Evaluation of tender allowances
• Creating material reconciliations
• Reporting to Commercial Director
• Carefully overseeing site operations
• Supervising and monitoring measures
• Management and optimisation of cash flow
• Drafting and submitting material delivery sheets
• Working with the Quantity Surveying and helping to develop them
• Maintain sustainable and productive relationships with existing clients
• Develop accurate and consistent bids with the help of relevant departments
• Collaborate closely with subcontractors to verify precise costs and payments
• Participate in the recording of delays & preparation of any request for extensions of time
• Preparation and administration of procurement advice, tenders, tender reviews and advice
• Generate/maintain relevant records, accurate filing and support for all commercial functions
• Ensure deadlines are actively managed and progress is reported to supervisors as required
• Offer tender analysis to relevant stakeholders for approval of proposed subcontractors before initiating orders

As an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a rail & civil engineering background, you will work on civil engineering and rail contracts around the Yorkshire area for this award winning contractor!

This role is to compliment an already high performing commercial team.

Requirements
