Job summary

Navartis Ltd seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Leeds team on a major rail project. The role focuses on commercial management, NEC contract administration, and effective cost control across substantial project packages.

You will report to the Commercial Management team, manage subs, prepare valuations, and drive risk and change processes while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Railway/Civil engineering/infrastructure sector background.
• Major project experience 80m+.
• 5+ years experience in Quantity Surveying.
• NEC 3/NEC 4 contract experience.
• Strong time management.
• Excellent communication and negotiation.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Reporting to and assisting the Commercial Management team on the project.
• Managing commercials of allocated project or packages of work
• Commercial reporting
• Responsible for devising valuations and applications for payment
• Contract Management – NEC
• Sub-contractor payments and accounts
• Cost Reporting & Forecasts
• Identification of risks, value engineering and change.
• Management of junior members of staff

A Tier 1 leading international, multi-disciplined engineering and construction company providing better engineered solutions to infrastructure sectors including transportation, water, energy and natural resources is looking for a Senior Quantity to join the team in Leeds.

Working on a major rail project in the Leeds area.

Experience required for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role:

• Railway / Civil Engineering / Infrastructure Sector background. (Tier1 background desirable)
• Major project experience 80million+
• 5 years + experience in Quantity Surveying
• NEC 3 / NEC 4 Contract experience
• Strong time management
• Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate
• Degree in Quantity Surveying (Desirable)

Salary

Circa £65,000 to £70,000 depending on experience plus benefits package including: Car allowance of £7,500 or Company Car, Annual Bonus (circa £6,000), A generous 27 days annual leave increasing with length of service, Excellent pension, private health care and more.
