An established and highly respected consultancy that has enjoyed 25% annual growth is seeking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to complement their team.

As the business continues its planned expansion, this role offers a genuine opportunity to progress to Director level and achieve equity shares.

The company works across the rail, water, and highways sectors, delivering projects ranging from £10M to £80M each.

Projects are based in Reading, with flexible working arrangements allowing 2-3 days per week from home, and support towards achieving Chartered status.

The Role

1. Manage a team of Quantity Surveyors at various levels.
2. Provide reports to senior management on project costs managed by your team.
3. Advise and approve cost analysis for repair and maintenance projects.
4. Establish client requirements and conduct feasibility studies.
5. Perform risk, value management, and cost control.
6. Advise on procurement strategies.
7. Manage and advise on tendering processes, including checking and approving tender and contract documents.
8. Ensure monthly cost/profit forecasts are prepared.
9. Support the team in selecting subcontractors and managing contractual claims.
10. Maintain knowledge of various construction contracts.

Experience Required

• Educated to BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying.
• Proven experience working with clients or recognized contractors on civil engineering projects.
• Good understanding of NEC contracts is essential.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential.
