We are working with a Tier 1 national contractor on a new major scheme near Portsmouth. They are in need of a Senior Quantity Surveyor to help the team deliver the scheme.
The project is a GBP120 million scheme, comprising refurbishment and new build elements for the Ministry of Justice. It is currently on site, underway, with 18 months remaining.
The role will initially involve managing the MEP package valued at circa GBP24 million as part of the wider commercial team. You will work alongside and manage a Project and an Assistant level QS on site, overseeing the commercial health of the packages, including managing subcontractor packages, procurement of materials and plant, remeasurements, valuations, payments, variation accounts, forecasting, CVRs, etc.
You will also take a lead role in addressing wider delivery and commercial challenges on the scheme and assist with other packages as the project progresses.
Ideally, you will have experience working for a Tier 1 company on a major scheme, managing an MEP package, or have worked for an MEP subcontractor.
