Job Opportunity: Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are collaborating with a Tier 1 national contractor on a major scheme near Portsmouth. They are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team and contribute to the successful delivery of the project.

The project is a £120 million Ministry of Justice scheme, comprising refurbishment and new build elements. It is currently on-site, underway, with approximately 18 months remaining.

Role Responsibilities

1. Manage the MEP package valued at circa £24 million within the wider commercial team.
2. Oversee and coordinate with a Project and Assistant QS on-site, ensuring the commercial health of the packages.
3. Manage subcontractor packages, procurement of materials and plant, remeasure, valuations, payments, variation accounts, forecasting, and CVRs.
4. Lead in addressing wider delivery and commercial challenges of the scheme.
5. Assist with other packages as the project progresses.

Candidate Profile

Ideally, you will have experience working for a Tier 1 contractor on a major scheme, managing an MEP package, or have worked for an MEP subcontractor.
