Job summary

Leo Force in South Wales is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of RC frames and structures projects. Based in Newport, you will drive commercial delivery from pre-construction through final account, working with operational teams and clients.

You will lead tendering and estimating, manage procurement of subcontractors and materials, and produce CVRs and cost reports. A proactive, solutions-driven professional with NEC/JCT contracts experience is essential.

Qualifications

• More than 10 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction.
• Strong background in RC frames, concrete structures, or civils.
• Proven track record in contractor-side commercial management.
• Experience in estimating and pre-construction activities.
• Strong understanding of NEC and/or JCT contracts.
• Excellent commercial awareness, negotiation, and reporting skills.
• A proactive, solutions-driven approach.

Wales Gwent Leading Civil Engineering & Concrete Frame Contractor Are you a Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong experience in RC frames and structural works? Looking to take full ownership of projects while working with a forward-thinking contractor? This could be the role for you. Our client is working with a well-established construction and civil engineering business that is expanding its commercial team in Newport. Client is looking for a commercially astute QS who can drive projects from pre-construction through to final account, while working closely with operational teams and clients. The Role You'll play a pivotal role across both tendering and live projects, taking responsibility for cost control, procurement, and commercial delivery.

Key duties include:
