Job description

A leading MEP contractor is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Central London.

The main objective of the role is to work alongside project teams to deliver the commercial requirements for a portfolio of MEP projects across London.

Key Duties
  • Lead small commercial teams on projects, holding full accountability for developing and implementing pre and post contract strategies.
  • Ensure all commercial contractual obligations and strategies are executed and regularly monitored.
  • Produce internal and external commercial reports including cost reporting, forecasts and final accounts.
  • Work collaboratively by engaging with all internal and external stakeholders keeping them informed on project development and performance.
  • Ensure the delivery of the commercial function on assigned projects.
  • Negotiate and manage subcontractor agreements.
  • Manage change variations and payment requests.

Managing a portfolio of commercial and residential MEP fit out projects across Central London.

Project values are in excess of £100m, with MEP packages accounting for c.£30m per project.

Leading small commercial teams on projects, holding accountability for the development and delivery of project commercial strategies.

Managing relationships both upstream to clients and downstream to project teams and subcontractors.

Candidate Requirements

Minimum of 5 years experience managing the end to end commercial requirements for MEP projects across the building, fit out, or infrastructure sectors.

You will have a proven ability to drive contract and project performance, as well as providing detailed commercial reports to both internal and external stakeholders.

Relevant construction or quantity surveying degree is desirable.
