Job summary

Linear Recruitment are working alongside a Nottingham-based new build housing developer seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team and lead commercial activities on residential projects.

You will control expenditure, reconcile cost/value reports and forecasts, manage subcontractor payments, protect cash flow and ensure value for money on site, with a proven track record delivering on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Degree or technical qualification.
• Quantity Surveying experience with a house builder.
• Strong commercial awareness.
• Proven track record delivering contracts on time and within budget.
• Knowledge of supply chain management.
• Negotiation and presentation skills.
• RICS or CIOB qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

This role is perfect for someone with Quantity Surveyor experience working on new build residential projects

Day to Day

• Control all expenditure
• Reconcile cost/value reports & profit forecasts
• On-boarding of Sub contractors/suppliers
• Ensuring value for money & financial assessments
• Manage day to day cost control & monitoring & reporting
• Process Sub contractor requests for payment via application & invoice
• Attend project & company related meetings
• Ensure timely cash flow management
• Maintain & develop professional relationships with clients & customers

About You

• Degree or other technical qualification
• Quantity Surveying experience with a house builder
• Strong commercial awareness
• Proven track record delivering contracts on time and within budget
• Coins experience
• Negotiating, communication & presentation skills
• Knowledge of Supply Chain management
• RICS / CIOB qualification - Preferred
