Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our established commercial team. In this key role, you will take full responsibility for managing the financial and contractual aspects of our luxury fit-out projects, ensuring successful project delivery from pre-construction through to final account. You will lead and mentor junior staff, collaborate with clients and consultants, and play an instrumental part in driving the commercial success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities (for Senior Level)

• Take ownership of cost plans, estimates, and tender submissions, ensuring accuracy and value for money
• Lead the evaluation, negotiation, and management of subcontractor and supplier packages
• Manage valuations, interim applications for payment, and final accounts with a high level of autonomy
• Provide strategic oversight and reporting on project costs, highlighting risks and opportunities to senior management
• Administer and manage complex contracts and procurement processes
• Identify, manage, and resolve variations, claims, and risk items efficiently
• Mentor and develop junior Quantity Surveyors, ensuring knowledge sharing and best practices within the team
• Collaborate closely with project teams, clients, and consultants to ensure financial objectives and deadlines are met

Requirements

• A relevant degree or qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• Proven experience in the construction industry, with a strong background in luxury fit-out or interior projects
• Extensive experience managing complex projects, with a focus on cost control, contracts, and commercial management
• Exceptional analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with a commercial and strategic mindset
• Ability to work autonomously while mentoring and developing junior team members
• In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, cost control processes, and procurement methods
• Full UK driving licence (preferred)
