Job summary

Fyba Talent is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Tier 1 contractor's commercial team within the water sector. You’ll oversee commercial performance on multiple infrastructure projects from pre-construction through final account.

You will manage budgets, forecasts and cost reports, lead procurement and contract administration, manage risk and variations, and mentor junior commercial staff. This UK-wide role offers clear progression within major water frameworks.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor role within a main contractor environment.
• Experience on infrastructure or water/utilities projects (preferred)
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of NEC/JCT contracts
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent

The Opportunity

Our client, a leading Tier 1 contractor, is seeking an experienced QS or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team within the water industry. Operating across major infrastructure and utilities frameworks, they deliver high-value projects supporting critical water and environmental services across the UK.

This is a key role with responsibility for managing the commercial performance of projects from pre-construction through to final account.

• Manage risk, variations, and ensure contractual compliance

About You

• Proven experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor role within a main contractor environment
• Experience working on infrastructure or water/utilities projects (preferred)
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g. NEC/JCT)
• Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or similar
