Job summary

Adepto Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a leading water industry consultancy, supporting major long-term infrastructure frameworks across the North West. The role focuses on cost management, procurement, and contract administration across multi-million-pound capital projects.

You will lead commercial delivery, manage budgets and reporting, review cost plans, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with clients and supply chain partners.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor.
• Experience in water, utilities or infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of commercial management, procurement, cost control and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial management and cost control across water infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and review cost estimates, cost plans and financial forecasts.
• Manage procurement, tendering, contract negotiations and supplier relationships.
• Administer contracts, including payments, variations, claims and commercial disputes.
• Monitor project expenditure, identify cost-saving opportunities and maintain accurate financial reporting.

Salary: £65,000–£68,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance

The Opportunity

Adepto Technical Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a leading consulting and engineering organisation, supporting major long-term water infrastructure frameworks across the North West.

This is an excellent opportunity to take a lead role in the commercial delivery of multi-million-pound capital projects, with responsibility for cost management, procurement, contractual matters and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead commercial management and cost control across water infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and review cost estimates, cost plans and financial forecasts.
• Manage procurement, tendering, contract negotiations and supplier relationships.
• Administer contracts, including payments, variations, claims and commercial disputes.
• Monitor project expenditure, identify cost-saving opportunities and maintain accurate financial reporting.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor.

• Relevant bachelor's degree.
• Full, valid driving licence.
• RICS, ICES or equivalent chartership, or working towards professional accreditation, is advantageous.
