Job summary

Danny Sullivan & Sons Ltd in London is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial activities on civil engineering, water infrastructure and utilities projects. You will manage CVRs, forecasts and contract administration, including NEC3/NEC4 events.

The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying and extensive experience in water projects, with a focus on procurement, risk, and client negotiations. A permanent, on-site position with a strong project pipeline and career progression.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or major infrastructure.
• Strong background in water, wastewater, utilities or heavy civils projects.
• Excellent working knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts.

Responsibilities

• Take commercial responsibility for civil engineering and water infrastructure projects from inception through to final account.
• Prepare and manage monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), forecasts and commercial reports.
• Administer NEC3/NEC4 contracts, including compensation events, early warnings and variations.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, tender evaluations, payments and final accounts.
• Prepare applications for payment and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities to maximise project profitability.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Site Agents and engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Lead commercial negotiations with clients and subcontractors.
• Support and mentor junior Quantity Surveyors and commercial team members.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established civil engineering contractor in London, working across major water, utilities and infrastructure projects.
