Fyba Talent is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on major water infrastructure projects across the UK. You will take responsibility for the commercial performance from pre-construction through final account, coordinating budgets, forecasts and cost reporting.

The role requires strong NEC/JCT contract knowledge, proven negotiation ability, and a degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.

Qualifikationen

• Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in a main contractor setting.
• Experience on infrastructure or water/utilities projects preferred.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with NEC/JCT contract forms.
• Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or related field.

The Opportunity

Our client, a leading Tier 1 contractor, is seeking an experienced QS or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team within the water industry. Operating across major infrastructure and utilities frameworks, they deliver high-value projects supporting critical water and environmental services across the UK.

This is a key role with responsibility for managing the commercial performance of projects from pre-construction through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead commercial management across multiple water infrastructure projects
• Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
• Oversee procurement, subcontractor management, and contract administration
• Manage risk, variations, and ensure contractual compliance
• Work closely with project teams, clients, and supply chain partners
• Mentor and support junior commercial staff

About You

• Proven experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor role within a main contractor environment
• Experience working on infrastructure or water/utilities projects (preferred)
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g. NEC/JCT)
• Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or similar
