Job summary

Wates Residential in Guildford is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Guildford Park Road regeneration project, delivering commercial leadership on a flagship development. You will drive value, manage procurement, and maintain strong relationships with customers and supply chain to achieve project objectives.

The role requires proven experience in quantity surveying within construction or residential development, strong commercial acumen, and excellent communication and collaboration

Qualifications

• Experience in a Quantity Surveying or Project Surveying role within construction or residential development.
• Strong commercial awareness and contractual knowledge.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and work collaboratively within a project team.
• A proactive approach with a focus on delivering results and adding value.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring all contractual and commercial obligations are met in line with Wates processes and procedures.
• Managing procurement activities, subcontract orders and supply chain relationships.
• Producing and submitting monthly cost reports, procurement strategy updates and progress reports.
• Preparing measurements, valuations and managing contractual notices and change control processes.
• Agreeing valuations with customers and supply chain partners to maintain positive project cashflow.
• Producing and agreeing main contract and subcontract final accounts.
• Supporting the delivery team to maximise value, mitigate risk and achieve project objectives.
