Job summary

London-based Senior Quantity Surveyor role offering hybrid, permanent employment with a competitive package and car/allowance along with flexible benefits. The successful candidate will manage large-scale projects with NEC contracts, oversee P&L, cash flow and working capital, and report to the Senior Commercial Manager.

Key duties include contract management under NEC3/4/JCT, value of works, CVRs, cash flow forecasts, and client progress meetings, with a focus on a major electrical and civil

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (or HNC with relevant experience).
• Strong understanding of NEC3/4 contracts and practical application.
• Previous experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or similar role.
• Experience in civil engineering and construction.
• Advanced MS Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables).

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple contracts under NEC3/4, JCT, and bespoke agreements.
• Measure and value works for applications, variations, and final accounts.
• Identify and notify Early Warnings and Compensation Events.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and manage CVRs.
• Chair monthly project reviews and attend client progress meetings.
• Manage invoicing, debt recovery, and dispute resolution.
• Ensure contracts across the supply chain are fit for purpose.
• Oversee supply chain management and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support the development of the wider commercial team.
