Navartis is working with a Specialist Rail Contractor in the search for a Senior Quantity Surveyor. This is a really great opportunity for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor or established Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a supportive and growing team.

Our client works on some of Scotland and the wider UK’s biggest projects and your skills within construction will be valued and built upon. You will be working to ensure projects are on time, within budget and to the highest standards ensuring revenue is maximised whilst minimising cost without compromising on quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing Subcontractor procurement, ensuring PO’s are raised and budgets stuck to.
• Working with the estimation team to review potential tenders.
• Issuing early warning notices for changes and raising compensation events where possible.
• Conducting site visits, representing the company on client meetings and building long term relationships.
• Preparation of CVR’s.
• Working collaboratively with internal and external teams and managing subcontractors where appropriate.

Experience Required:

• Must have experience as a QS in the Rail Construction sectors.
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of NEC3 & JCT Contracts.
• Must be able to read, interpret and alter architectural drawings.
