Job summary

Lithgow Construction Consultants in Glasgow is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost planning, measurement and commercial control across diverse projects. This role is predominantly office-based with limited site attendance and focuses on the technical and commercial aspects of PQS consultancy.

You will produce Bills of Quantities, manage tender documentation, valuations, variations and final accounts, and provide cost reporting and commercial advice to teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying is essential.
• MRICS certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in PQS/consultancy.
• Experience with billing and measurement software.
• Strong technical skills in measurement, costing and contract administration.
• Proficient in Excel and office software.

We’re looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join Lithgow Construction Consultants in Glasgow.

This is a predominantly office-based role with limited site attendance. It will particularly suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor who enjoys the technical and commercial aspects of the work and prefers an office-focused environment.

The Role

• Measurement and production of Bills of Quantities
• Cost planning, estimating and cost control
• Tender documentation and procurement
• Post-contract administration including valuations, variations and final accounts
• Preparation of cost reports and commercial advice

About You

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying
• MRICS preferred
• 5+ years’ experience in a PQS / consultancy environment
• Experience of billing and measurement software essential
• Strong technical skills in measurement, costing and contract administration
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical ability
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Good communication skills and a positive team attitude
• Comfortable working primarily from the office
