Job summary

TED Recruitment is assisting a UK PQS firm in Glasgow to recruit a Quantity Surveyor with 2+ years post-graduate experience. The role covers pre- and post-contract work on a range of projects up to £120m, with strong APC/RICS progression opportunities and competitive salary.

You’ll need a UK QS qualification (e.g., BSc Quantity Surveying) and experience with JCT contracts; NEC knowledge is a plus. Hybrid working one day/week is provided.

• Around 2+ years post-graduate experience with a UK PQS firm.

THE ROLE

My client seeks a Quantity Surveyor to join them in Glasgow. This office is fairly new so there will be plenty of prospects for promotion for an ambitious QS.

They are seeking someone either at Project Surveyor level or a good Assistant Quantity Surveyor with 2 years + post graduate experience with a firm of PQS.

My client works on a good range of projects for residential, leisure facilities, industrial warehousing, schools and more.

They offer excellent support towards taking the APC to become RICS qualified along with good prospects for promotion.

THE COMPANY

My client is an established firm of PQS with two offices currently.

They work on a good range of projects up to around £120m in value.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be a Quantity Surveyor who is currently working for a UK firm of PQS.

My client would like someone who has around two years or more post graduate experience doing pre and post contract work.

You will need to have a recognised UK qualification in Quantity Surveying i.e. BSc in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or similar and have around 2 plus years experience working for a PQS firm either post graduation or during your Degree if you were doing your BSc on day release.

You may be working towards taking your APC towards becoming RICS qualified or keen to do so.

You should have used JCT contracts and any knowledge of NEC contracts would be useful.

You should have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken to deal with people at all levels.
