Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing cost management consultancy with offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

The role involves independently managing projects across a diverse portfolio, spanning commercial, industrial, residential, public sector and community developments. Hybrid working arrangement available (4 days in office, 1 day home).

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying/PQS environment.
• Experience independently managing projects from pre-contract through to final account.
• Strong knowledge of cost planning, procurement, tendering and contract administration.
• Excellent client-facing, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• MRICS desirable, APC encouraged.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits.
• Strong commercial awareness with excellent organisational and reporting skills.
• Stable employment history with a commitment to long-term career development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver full pre and post-contract quantity surveying services across a varied project portfolio.
• Prepare cost plans, Bills of Quantities, tender documentation and tender evaluations.
• Produce monthly valuations, cost reports and financial progress updates.
• Independently manage multiple projects from inception through to final account.
• Attend regular site visits, progress meetings and client meetings.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and project teams.
• Work closely with senior management to ensure successful project delivery.
• Support junior team members and contribute to the continued growth of the business.

Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established and growing cost management consultancy with offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Due to continued expansion and a strong pipeline of work, the business is looking to strengthen its team with an ambitious Quantity Surveyor capable of independently managing projects across a diverse portfolio.

The consultancy delivers cost management services across a wide range of sectors including commercial, industrial, residential, public sector and community developments, with projects ranging from smaller schemes through to major developments exceeding £100 million.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience within a Quantity Surveying / PQS consultancy environment
• Experience independently managing projects from pre-contract through to final account

• MRICS qualified desirable, although candidates working towards APC are strongly encouraged to apply

Salary & Benefits
