Senior QS Job To manage a steel frame Residential New Build Development in South London

Your new company is a contractor awarded a prestigious project to build large high-rise steel-frame residential buildings in South London starting August 2025. The project is valued at £15m, includes 50 units, and is scheduled for a 24-month duration.

Your new role as a Senior Quantity Surveyor involves being the primary financial contact on site, reporting to the board of directors. You will lead a management team including a Project Manager and Construction Management team. Responsibilities include creating and managing financial programs with subcontractors and staff, forecasting and procuring materials, and overseeing technical aspects such as drawings and specifications in regular site meetings.

What you'll need to succeed is substantial UK-based experience as an on-site Project Surveyor specializing in high-rise or medium-rise residential buildings. A construction-related degree from a UK university, a reliable work history in main contracting or large schemes, and excellent references are essential. You should have a keen eye for detail, problem-solving skills, strong communication, IT proficiency, project management, technical knowledge, and value engineering skills.
