Job summary

Aqua Consultants is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support major frameworks and projects from inception to completion. Based in Cambridge, you will liaise daily with clients and contractors, and lead meetings to ensure timely information flow.

You will manage cost planning, procurement advice, contract administration, and Final accounts, while holding NEC contract experience and working towards MRICS/MCICES. A supportive pension, life cover and benefits are offered.

• NEC3/4 working knowledge.
• Strong cost management and organizational skills.
• Water Industry or wider utilities experience.
• Working towards MRICS / MCICES.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for projects from inception to completion.
• Be the focal point of contact for the client and inspire confidence for with clients.
• Manage infrastructure projects ideally using the NEC form of contract.
• Estimating and cost planning.
• Procurement advice.
• Contract administration and cost control.
• Cost reporting.
• Final account preparation.
• Attend meetings and undertake site visits.
• Hold a professional membership with RICS.
• Client facing and confident in leading meetings.
• Managing and take lead on multiple projects for their clients.
• Other appropriate Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management duties required.
• Liaising with Clients and Contractors on a daily basis to ensure the timely communication and collation of information.

Job Description

The role will be based in either Aqua Consultants’ Offices or key client offices, supporting quantity surveyors in the delivery of key frameworks and key projects. It will involve liaising with both clients and contractors on a daily basis, to enable effective management of the projects.
