Job summary

Aqua Consultants is seeking a Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager to lead multi-site infrastructure projects across the North and Midlands in England. You will act as the primary client liaison, ensuring objectives are met on time and on budget.

Responsibilities include cost planning, NEC contracting, procurement advice, and regular cost reporting. This role requires travel to client sites and a strong client-facing presence.

Qualifications

• NEC3/4 working knowledge.
• Project cost management skills including organisational and diligent skills.
• Water Industry or wider utilities experience.
• Working towards MRICS / MCICES.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from inception to completion.
• Be the focal point for client communication and confidence.
• Manage infrastructure projects using NEC contracts where applicable.
• Prepare estimates and cost plans.
• Provide procurement advice and contract administration.
• Control costs and prepare final accounts.
• Attend meetings and site visits to monitor progress.
• Liaise daily with clients and contractors to ensure timely information flow.

Job description

Location (Hybrid) -role will cover Aqua clients across the North and the Midlands of England, e.g. Northumbrian Water, Yorkshire Water, United Utilities & Severn Trent Water, so must be willing to commute to client offices and sites as required.

What you'll be doing:

• Responsible for projects from inception to completion.
• Be the focal point of contact for the client and inspire confidence for with clients.
• Manage infrastructure projects ideally using the NEC form of contract.
• Estimating and cost planning.
• Procurement advice.
• Contract administration and cost control.
• Cost reporting.
• Final account preparation.
• Attend meetings and undertake site visits.
• Hold a professional membership with RICS.
• Client facing and confident in leading meetings.
• Managing and take lead on multiple projects for their clients.
• Other appropriate Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management duties required.
• Liaising with Clients and Contractors on a daily basis to ensure the timely communication and collation of information.

Qualifications
