Job summary

TEXO Recruitment is seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established civil engineering and infrastructure team operating across the North East, Tees Valley, Yorkshire and the Humber. You will manage financials, valuations, and commercial control across multiple schemes, ensuring on-time delivery within budget.

Qualifications

• 10 years’ experience in a commercial environment within civil engineering.
• HND, degree or equivalent qualification.
• Knowledge and experience with NEC3 and NEC4 contracts.
• Experience across different contract frameworks and contract documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit interim payment applications and final accounts.
• Strong knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts.
• Manage early warnings, risk reduction and compensation events.
• Assess and submit compensation event quotations.
• Maintain accurate site records and commercial documentation.
• Attend client meetings as required.
• Produce project financial forecasts and commercial reports.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, payments and valuations.
• Support and mentor junior members of the QS team.

TEXO Recruitment are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established organisation delivering a wide range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the North East, Tees Valley, Yorkshire and the Humber.

The business works in partnership with local authorities to deliver a variety of schemes, including public realm, highways, flood alleviation, active travel and bridge works, as well as major capital projects.

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to provide financial and commercial management across a range of civil engineering projects. The role will be responsible for ensuring accurate measurement, valuation, and cash flow management, supporting the successful delivery of each scheme. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and the highest commercial standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Experience of Microsoft and office IT packages
• Proven experience of working within different contract frameworks
• Experience in working with contract documentation specific to role
