Job summary

Handelsbanken is seeking a Senior Quantitative Risk Analyst to join our 2LOD Credit Risk team in the UK. The role focuses on IRB model development for Retail, Property Lending, and Corporate PD models, with emphasis on data governance and regulatory compliance.

You will engage with stakeholders, define data needs, and produce documentation and reports while supporting annual model reviews and recalibration activities. A proactive, detail-oriented analyst will thrive in our trust-based culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial services with IRB model development and data analysis.
• Understanding of IRB regulation (CRR, EBA, PRA).
• Strong analytical and numerical skills including statistical modelling and validation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end IRB model development and implementation across Retail and Corporate exposures.
• Engage with stakeholders to align model development with business requirements.
• Define data requirements and assess data quality against regulatory standards.
• Complete updates to the regulatory annual self-assessment for IRB and remediate gaps.
• Produce model documentation and reports per internal standards.
• Support ongoing model maintenance including annual reviews and recalibration.
