Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a Quality Inspector for an on-site Derby role to support aerospace quality and inspection across existing and new opportunities.

This permanent position offers £22.37 per hour, equating to about £41,880 annually, with a Friday to Sunday shift 6:00 am–18:00 pm.

You will work within cross-functional teams, upholding ISO 50001/14001/45001/9001 standards and ensuring Right First Time quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in an inspection/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Technical knowledge & experience within the aerospace sector preferred.
• Competent in using verniers, micrometers, bore micrometers, height gauges, DTI (Digital Test Indicators).
• Experience in a quality control environment is preferred.
• Experience with inspecting Machined, Fabricated, treated, and assembled parts.

Responsibilities

• Provide Quality and Inspection support for existing and new opportunities and develop Right First-Time philosophy.
• Maintain quality control within the manufacturing process in line with standards.
• Check and verify the compliance of components produced at all stages.
• Identify recurring quality issues and communicate them with recommendations.
• Assist with root cause analysis using 5 Whys and Ishikawa.
• Identify and report any non-conformances.
• Support cross-functional teams to drive development and improvement projects.
• Work within ISO 50001 / 14001 / 45001 / 9001 standards.
