Job summary

Prime Appointments Ltd. is assisting a precision manufacturing client in Chelmsford to recruit a Senior Quality Inspector. The role covers ownership of complex inspections, metrology, and FAIRs to AS9102.

You will program and operate CMM (PC-DMIS), use handheld metrology and 3D scanning, and lead root cause investigations while mentoring inspectors and production teams. Salary up to £50,000, 4-day week, medical plan and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quality Inspector in precision engineering, ideally aerospace.
• Formal qualifications in Engineering, Metrology, or Quality.
• Experience with third-party/regulatory audits (ISO, CAA, FAA).

Responsibilities

• Inspect complex products against drawings, specs and customer requirements.
• Own FAIRs to AS9102 and customer standards.
• Program and operate CMM inspections (PC-DMIS).
• Lead non-conformance investigations and CAPA.
• Mentor inspectors and production teams.
