Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Junior Quality Inspector in Portsmouth to inspect precision-made components and ensure they meet required specifications. You will use manual gauges and CMM technology, preparing quality documentation for customers, with training provided on specific machinery.

Working Monday to Thursday, 12pm to 9:45pm, you will join a precision engineering subcontractor supplying aerospace, oil & gas and subsea industries.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality inspection and CMM operation.
• Familiar with manual measuring equipment and CMMs.
• Able to review material certifications and ensure compliance.

• Prepare and issue FAIRs, SCARs, NCRs and other customer quality documentation

Are you a Junior Quality Inspector, from a precision engineering background, looking to join a specialist manufacturing company that invest in the latest technology?

The company on offer are a precision engineering subcontractor supplying into the aerospace, oil, gas and subsea industries. Accredited with ISO 9001 and AS9100, the company produce high-quality components at their 12,000 square foot facility.

Your role will centre around inspecting precision-manufactured components and ensuring products meet the required specifications and quality standards.

This will include carrying out mechanical and visual inspections, using manual measuring equipment and CMM technology, whilst preparing and submitting the quality documentation required by customers.

The first few weeks will entail working alongside the Chief Inspector to ensure you are comfortable and confident in the role. Manufacturer training will be provided for specific machinery.

The suitable candidate will come from a precision engineering background, with experience in Quality Inspection and CMM operation.

The Role
