Job summary

HR GO Recruitment seeks a Senior Quality Inspector to join a precision engineering/manufacturing environment in Staplehurst, Kent. The role oversees inspection activity, ensures product quality and supports continuous improvement on the shop floor.

The successful candidate will lead daily inspections, interpret drawings and GD&T, maintain QA records and support ISO 9001 audits, while mentoring junior inspectors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in an ISO 9001 manufacturing or precision engineering environment.
• Strong fine limit sheet metal inspection experience.
• Proven background in senior/lead inspection roles.
• Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and GD&T.
• Proficient with manual inspection tools; CMM experience beneficial.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience coaching or guiding small teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily inspection activities including first-off, in-process, and final inspections.
• Carry out fine limit sheet metal inspection using a range of measuring equipment.

• Maintain inspection records, non-conformance reports and inspection plans.
