Morgan Jones is recruiting for a growing precision manufacturer in Staplehurst, Kent, to appoint a hands-on Senior Quality Inspector. You will lead inspection activities, operate and program CMMs, and ensure ISO 9001 compliance while mentoring others.

This senior role offers progression into process improvement and technical leadership within a precision manufacturing environment, with opportunities to shape quality processes and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment.
• Strong CMM programming and operation experience.
• Senior or lead inspection background.
• Excellent drawing and GD&T interpretation.
• High attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Detailed inspection of precision sheet metal components and assemblies.
• Operate and program CMM equipment.
• First Article Inspection (FAI).
• Interpretation of engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Raising and supporting NCRs and corrective actions.
• Maintaining accurate inspection and quality records.
• Supporting internal and external audits.
• Mentoring junior inspectors and advising production teams.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Morgan Jones is working confidentially with a well-established, expanding manufacturing business seeking a Senior Quality Inspector to strengthen its quality function during a period of significant investment and growth.

This is a hands-on senior role, ideal for an experienced Quality Inspector looking to progress their career into process improvement and technical leadership within a precision manufacturing environment.

The role

You will act as a senior point of reference within inspection, ensuring components and assemblies meet customer, regulatory, and ISO 9001 requirements while supporting and guiding others.
